Case Study: Disaster Recovery Planning

Business Aspect assisted an Australian university to develop their Business Continuity Plan (BCP). The plan included definition of broad strategies for continuance of critical university business functions, as well as detailed plans to manage the declaration of, and response to, a disaster event. Outcomes delivered included:

  • refinement and agreement on key areas to be included in the University’s BCP document and associated documentation framework
  • determination and definition of the strategies to be used by the University to continue business operations
  • a business continuity strategy based on threat-based scenarios.

A strong emphasis was placed on knowledge transfer, through assistance and mentoring, within this engagement to ensure that the University developed a sustainable in-house capability for BCP.
