Celebrating 10 Years: A Timeline of Great Delivery Outcomes

After a decade of delivering great outcomes, Business Aspect has firmly cemented its place as a trusted and sought after provider of strategic consultancy, advisory and project delivery services to some of Australia’s largest and most respected organisations.

In 2005, founding Partners, Brendon Taylor, Jacob Formann, Steven Haites, David Lennon and Brendan McLearie conceived Business Aspect after identifying an opportunity to provide strategic consulting and advisory services beyond what the market offered at the time.

Over the ensuing decade Business Aspect has gone on to grow the team 14-fold; securing numerous awards, accreditations, panel acceptances, memberships and major programs of client strategy and delivery work along the way.

Within just a few short years of being established, Business Aspect was recognised as a company to be watched.  The staff base grew almost immediately and quickly expanded interstate, leading a significant body of work for the Department of Climate Change and the Clean Energy Regulator, which set the stage for the development of significant eastern seaboard business.

In both 2010 and 2011 Business Aspect was nationally recognised as one of Australia’s fastest growing companies, achieving BRW Fast 100 status two years running.  Also during this time we acquired and successfully merged CTG Consulting into the Business Aspect Group, with Mark Watt joining as partner. One of the original founders Brendan McLearie retired as a partner shortly thereafter.

In 2012, the company achieved ISO 9001 Quality System Certification (the same year that saw the launch of the new Business Aspect branding). Today Business Aspect has been accepted onto more than 20 Federal and State Government and Corporate panels across Australia.

Sam Higgins joined the management team as our most recent partner in 2013, adding to the management team’s capabilities and experience, particularly in areas of architecture and strategy.

In 2014, in what is perhaps our most significant milestone to date, Business Aspect was acquired by market leading ASX listed company, Data#3.   Consistent with the strong historic pattern of growth, the Business Aspect partners agreed that the next phase for the company would be best facilitated by leveraging the market position and influence of a bigger organisation. As a Data#3 company, Business Aspect remains an autonomous consulting business.

At the time of the acquisition by Data#3, Founding partner, Steven Haites, took the opportunity to move towards retirement.

The Business Aspect team is now over 70+ strong and the consistent pattern of growth continues across the country with the recent appointment of Principals in Victoria and ACT to lead the growing national client project base.

Business Aspect’s growth has in no small part been due to the high calibre of people who have joined the team over the years.   The founding partners are quick to highlight that since day one Business Aspect has consistently attracted people at the top of their game and clients with innovative and transformative bodies of work.
