Business Aspect appoints Cyber Security Principal Consultant in response to increasing demand

Digital business and technology consulting firm, Business Aspect, today announced that it has appointed Brisbane-based Bruce Irwin as a Principal Consultant for Cyber Security and Risk.

Irwin commenced his employment with Business Aspect in May to fulfill the new position, which was created in response to the increasing demand for cyber security services. Reporting to Brendon Taylor, national Partner for Cyber Security and Risk at Business Aspect, Irwin will be focused on governance, risk and compliance (GRC) and the associated delivery of security assessments, strategy, roadmaps and plans for both Business Aspect and Data#3 customers nationally.

“Business Aspect has experienced significant business growth in cyber security services and this is expected to continue in line with the significant importance being placed on security along with the existing and emerging regulatory obligations that our customers are subject to. We’re excited to welcome Bruce and his extensive capability will be a fantastic addition to the team in helping our customers further improve their cyber security and risk environment,” said Taylor.

Business Aspect assists organisations in managing cyber security risk and threats to their business continuity. The team understand the real world when it comes to cyber security and risk and the importance of ensuring security controls are fit for the organisation and not just based on best practice to tick a compliance box.

Irwin is an innovative and solutions-focussed business and technology leader with demonstrated experience developing technology and business strategy, information security and compliance programs in regulatory environments, enabling business transformation, and delivering highly effective technology programs to meet business objectives. With a diverse career spanning banking and finance, utilities, government and consulting, he has delivered technology leadership and business transformation across a range of complex, regulated environments.

Speaking of his new appointment, Irwin, commented, “I am passionate about delivering great cyber security strategy and solutions for my clients.
