Business Aspect’s solution for The Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage Protection has won the Best Improvement Project Award at the 2016 Australian Process Excellence Awards.
The Department undertook a major transformational change to replace their at-risk core business systems and streamline the way they manage their regulatory duties. Called ‘Connect’ – the system has transformed what is possible for the Department by allowing them to engage with partners and customers in the online world for the first time.
The business solution was built in a short time frame and now provides the framework for streamlining many business processes and service delivery. With 54 processes identified for modernisation, this takes full advantage of the Appian® business process management platform. This has resulted in major efficiency gains for the Department and is a great example of collaboration between the Department, the Procensol development team, and Business Aspect professional services.
