Something I said I’d never do but did anyway:
Try to embrace scotch. I tried single malts, blends, aged but just couldn’t do it. Discovered spiced rum which seems to sit far more pleasantly.

It’s Sunday morning at 10am, if I’m not sleeping I’m:
Trying to motivate myself to get out into the world and go for a ride, go paddle skiing etc

The book currently on my bedside table is:
Enid Blyton’s Magic Faraway Tree which I am reading to my youngest lad; and a New Scientist magazine – I enjoy reading about advances in many fields – not just my own areas of interest.

The first thing I do when I wake up is:
Wish it was summer – it’s much easier to get out of bed when it’s not dark and cold outside.

The best thing about Perth:
If you love being outdoors like I do it’s a fantastic place to live: amazing beaches, bike paths, a real river.

Fun fact about you:
When I was younger I gymed and ate like a madman to try and get over 100kg (to play rugby). Now all my efforts at the gym and with my diet are focused on trying to get under 100kg!
